What a show!
The 21st edition of Breakbulk Europe was a tremendous success, filled with connection, business, and insight. From celebrations at the Boulevard Party and Green World Awards, practical learnings at the Workshops and NextWave Education Day, expert speakers at the Breakbulk Live & Voices stages, to record attendance at Women in Breakbulk, endless high-fives with Cargo the Camel, and hundreds of new business connections made, the 2026 event was truly special.
Highlights from the show
Women in Breakbulk Networking Breakfast
The Women in Breakbulk Networking Breakfast brought together industry professionals for a morning of inspiration, practical learning, and meaningful connection. Under the theme Power Up!, attendees explored the science of sustaining energy in demanding environments through keynote presentations, expert panel discussions, and interactive wellness activities. The event highlighted the importance of personal resilience, leadership, and supporting colleagues through the challenges of project work.
Keynote Address: Navigating a Changing Global Landscape
Former Dutch Ambassador and geopolitical expert Ron Keller opened the event with a compelling keynote on the forces reshaping global trade. Examining the impact of geopolitical tensions, sanctions, conflict, and policy fragmentation, Keller provided valuable insight into the challenges facing supply chains and long-term business planning. His address set the strategic tone for three days of industry discussion and debate.
NextWave 30 & Green World Awards
The Breakbulk Live Stage hosted two standout celebrations of industry excellence. The inaugural NextWave 30 Awards recognised emerging leaders making a significant impact on the future of project cargo and breakbulk, while the Green World Awards honoured organisations driving sustainability across the sector. Together, the ceremonies showcased innovation, leadership, and the industry's commitment to a stronger future.
Breakbulk Boulevard Party
Day One concluded with the highly anticipated Breakbulk Boulevard Party, transforming Schiedamse Vest into a vibrant networking destination. Attendees enjoyed local food and drinks, live entertainment, and the opportunity to connect with peers in a relaxed atmosphere. The evening perfectly captured the spirit of Breakbulk Europe, bringing the industry together beyond the exhibition floor.
