Senior Manager, Sustainability Wallenius Wilhelmsen

Jørgen Westrum Thorsen joined Wallenius Wilhelmsen's sustainability team in 2021 and since 2023 has been an integral part of the ‘Orcelle Accelerator’, its decarbonization and energy transition taskforce. Working across the group, the taskforce is implementing the measures needed to meet the group’s long-term Net-zero 2040 ambitions, in parallel with developing low-carbon service offerings for their current customers.

With in-depth experience working with sustainability, Jørgen was an Environmental and Sustainability advisor in the Offshore Oil & Gas industry, and then as a consultant in KPMG.
Jørgen holds a M.Sc. in Industrial Ecology and a B.Sc. of Economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
